Area Served

Woonsocket, Cumberland, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Lincoln, Pawtucket, Johnston, Cranston, Scituate, Central Falls, North Providence, Providence, East Providence, Bristol, Warren, & Barrington.

Office of Rehabilitation Services (ORS) Non-Supported and Supported Employment

Individuals who are enrolled in ORS services will participate in the following services: 

Vocational Evaluation

Complete a 10 day, 20-hour assessment in the community exploring 1 up to 3 employment locations. Participants will complete an ONET assessment, which will assist in mapping out potential employment areas to explore.

Community-Base Work Experience

Complete a total of 40 hours in the community in an employment environment based off of obtainable interest areas.

Supported Employment Job Preparation

A 6-week job preparation course which is tailor to give participants exposure to entering the employment world. A variety of topics are discussed followed by practice activities to provide participants with actual expectations/requirements when applying to positions of interest.

Job Development/Placement

During this process referred participants will complete resume writing, mock interview preparation, and work alongside an Employment Specialist to begin the application process to jobs of interests.

Job Retention

A service where two in person visits are provided weekly to provide support to the employed participant. Employment Specialists will be available to evaluate natural supports, job performance, and communication with management.

Time limited Job Coaching

Time limited service for job coaching to be specialized around certain skills or needs in the participants employment opportunity/ environment.

Travel Training

Provide resources on navigating RIPTA bus system. Participants will be given demonstrations on navigating through RIPTA website, reading the bus map, and in person demonstration on boarding buses based off of specific destination.

ORS Services (Transitional Youth Pre-Employment)

Individuals who are enrolled in Pre-Ets ORS services will participate in the following services:

Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disability & Hospitals (BHDDH)

WORK Inc. provides personalized supported employment services to individuals who need assistance finding their place in the workforce.

The Supported Employment Service is a system of support for people with barriers to employment, helping them secure and maintain employment in integrated settings.

Community Supports

Provides adults with community enrichment and tools to gain independence in their day-to-day living responsibilities. Participants will work alongside our Life & Wellness coach to learn new skills, create new relationships, and strengthen present contributions in their communities.
