Currently, we are looking for an Assistant Manager who will support deaf individuals with developmental disabilities residing in community-based apartments throughout Quincy, MA by promoting independence, while empowering and enhancing their quality of life.

• Assisting in the development of maximum independence, responsibility and self-worth
• Integration of quality of life ideals into daily management and program development
• Preparation and implementation of program goals, individuals service plans, progress notes and treatment plans.
• Nurturing a positive relationship with individuals, families, guardians and service providers
• Providing for appropriate healthcare, medical and dental needs and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
• 20 hours direct care duties and 20 hours flexible administrative duties.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise case managers, direct care staff, relief staff and PCAs.
• Carrying an emergency cell phone while the Program Manager is on vacation.

• Fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License.
• An acceptable CORI and SDIP.

Qualified candidates will have knowledge of community-based medical, vocational, recreational, and PCA resources. Candidate must have computer and record-keeping skills.

Preference will be given to candidates that have direct experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Applicants should be highly organized, detailed-oriented, and have strong oral and written communication skills.

The selected candidate will be a compassionate, creative, self-starter capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Starting salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Special Education, Social Work or related field or minimum 2 -5 years experience in Human Service.
